Horace Hillon Kilgore, age 84, died Monday, Mar. 21, 1994 at Trace Regional Hospital in Houston. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Mar. 22 at Macedonia United Methodist Church. Burial was in Macedonia Cemetery with the Rev. Elkin Haire officiating.
The son of the late Smith Kilgore and the late Sally Free Kilgore, he was born in Chickasaw County. He was a retired farmer and was a Methodist. He was preceded in death by his wife, the late Mattie Thomas Kilgore, who passed away Oct. 16, 1987.
Survivors include six daughters, Laverne Wortham of Huntington, TN, Maylene Gordon of Woodland, Geneva Mooneyham, Sue King and Pam Weaver, all of Houston and Barbara Brady of Pontotoc; five sons, James Kilgore, Dennis Kilgore and Billy Ray Kilgore, all of Houston, David Kilgore of Nockee, FL and Warren Kilgore of Calhoun City; four sisters, Ottis Criddle, Lottie Earnest, Lizzy Criddle and Estelle Sullivan, all of Houston; one brothers, William Kilgo of Okolona; 55 grandchildren and a number of great and great great grandchildren.
Houston Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
