Jerry Cole, 76, of Collierville, retired City of Memphis code enforcement employee, died of cancer Sunday at his home. Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at Memphis Funeral Home Poplar Chapel with burial in Memphis Memory Gardens Cemetery. He attended Peterson Lake Baptist Church and was a veteran. Mr. Cole, the husband of Mildred Cole, also leaves two daughters, Linda Story and Patty Greer, both of Memphis; a stepson, Bobby Morrow of Memphis; a brother, Trevie Cole of Wood Dale, Ill, six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The family requests that any memorials be sent to American Cancer Society Collierville Chapter.
(Mr. Cole was born February 12, 1924 in Weakley County, TN., the son of the late Johnnie Pearl and Katie Jones Grooms Cole of Sharon, TN.)
