OBITUARY: William Lawrence Leftwich, 79, of 1315 Church Street, died Saturday in a Staunton hospital.
Born in Bedford County, he was the son of Lynch and Julia Abbott Leftwich. He was a member of Mt. Carmel Methodist Church in Bedford County.
He is survived by two sons, James Edward Leftwich and William Leftwich of California; two sisters, Mrs. Adelia Alcock of Evington and Mrs. Julia Matthews of Lynchburg; two brothers, Daniel Leftwich of Brownsville, TX, and Lynch Leftwich of Richmond.
Virginia Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
