HUBBARD - Carey H. Carskadon Jr., 67, died Wednesday, April 20.
He was born Dec. 22, 1920 in Roberts, Idaho. He married Florence Goertzen June 13, 1942 in Twin Falls, Idaho. He was a construction engineer for Rogers Construction, Portland, for 30 years, semi-retiring in 1982. During his active years, he moved to many places in the Northwest. He moved to Oregon in 1958 and came here in 1973.
He was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 701, Portland, and Hope Lutheran Church, Woodburn.
Survivors include his wife, Florence; son Carey Huston Carskadon III of Olympia, Wash.; daughter Carole Helen Lewis of Charlotte, N. C.; sisters Christine Francis of Post Falls, Idaho, Rose Decker of Visalia, Calif., Naomi Mohr of Twin Falls, and Gloria Williams of Jarbidge, Nev.; and seven grandchildren.
Services were 3 p.m. Monday in Hope Lutheran Church. Entombment was in Belle Passi Mausoleum, Woodburn. Contributions may be made to the church.
Simon Funeral Chapel, Woodburn, is handling arrangements.
