Funeral services for Alphonse M. Albracht, 86, of Madison were held Tuesday, March 29, 1994 at 1 p.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Fremont. The Rev. Frank Lordemann officiated. Burial was in St. Patrick Parish Cemetery, Fremont. Visitation was on Monday from 3 to 9 p.m.at McKown Funeral Home in Columbus where the rosary was prayed at 7:30 that evening. Visitation continued on Tuesday morning from 10 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont.

Mr. Albracht died Saturday, March 26, 1994 at Columbus Community Hospital. He was born October 17, 1907 to Frank and Isabel (Schaefer) Albracht in St. Bernard near Lindsay, NE. He married Leona Pohlmeier on September 25, 1930 in Nazareth, Texas. They lived in Nazareth, Texas, Lindsay and Fremont, Nebraska. He worked for Magnus Metal. After his retirement they moved to Countryside Home in Madison.

Survivors include five daughters, Jane Roberts of Amarillo, Texas, Ethel Heiman of Sterling, Ill., Kathy Harsh of Columbus, Mickey Weidner of Madison and Sue Whorlow of Omaha; four sons,
Dale of Modesto, CA. Dick of Des Moines. IA. Wayne of Madison, and Gary of Simi Valley, CA.; 29 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild; two brothers, Bud of Newman Grove and Bill of Broken Bow; seven sisters, Claire Backes of Columbus, Alvina Chevrier of Humphrey, Loretta Finn of St. Claire Shores, WI, Helen Breidert of New Baltimore Way, MI, Germaine Schmidt of Platte Center, Darlene Korus of Lindsay and Bonnie Helmberger of Fort Morgan, CO.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Leona, in 1986, six grandchildren and two sisters.
