Watt, Oleen L. Oleen L. Watt 1930 ~ 2005 SOUTH OGDEN - Oleen L. Watt, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, returned home to Heavenly Father Monday, December 26, 2005 after a sudden illness. He was blessed to be surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Tremonton, Utah on February 22, 1930 to William Louder and Cora Elizabeth Ray Watt.

He grew up there and was educated and specially honored at Bear River High School.

He married the love of his life Mary Evelyn Potter on January 17, 1948 and were later sealed in the Logan LDS Temple.

They have shared over 57 wonderful years together. They have been blessed with a beautiful daughter, Terry Naegle, who always made him proud and he adored her dearly. Oleen was a very active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he served in many responsible positions in both the bishopric and High Priest Group Leadership. He worked over 50 years in the grocery industry where he enjoyed many successes as the Vice-President of Human Resources for Smith's Food and Drug. He also volunteered for the Tremonton Fire Department for many years. Oleen loved to spend time working in his yard and golfing with his buddies. He also loved his winter retreats to St. George. His zest for life kept him young at heart, and he was always taking care of others. His generosity and service to others is how he will be remembered. He has many wonderful memories of family togetherness and kept this his top priority.

Surviving are his wife Evelyn and daughter Terry (Mike) Naegle, both of South Ogden; three grandchildren Travis (Crista) Torman of Hickory, NC; Tiffany (Justin) Johnson of South Ogden; Justin (Jori) Torman of Eden; and six beautiful great-grandchildren, Savannah, Brooklyn, Austin, Hunter, Madison and Cameron, who love, adore and will greatly miss their "Papa".

Also surviving are seven sisters and one brother. Oleen was preceded in death by his parents and four siblings.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 3 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may call at the mortuary on Monday, January 2 from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:45 to10:45 a.m. Interment, Lindquist's Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. "Until We Meet Again" Email condolences to the family at [email protected] Published in the Salt Lake Tribune on 12/28/2005.
