SUNSET - Thomas Dee Watt, loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away Thursday, March 11, 2010, at the age of 83. He was born September 4, 1926, a son of William L. and Mable E. Wheatley Watt, in Thatcher, Utah. At a young age, his mother passed away, and his father then married Cora E. Ray, who became his "Ma".
He grew up in and attended school in Thatcher, Utah. On February 27, 1952, he married the love of his life, Dorothy R. Bragg. They recently celebrated their 58th anniversary and resided in Sunset, Utah for 54 years.
Thomas proudly served his country in the Merchant Marines and Army. He was a member in the Roy Eagles #3355. He worked at Hill Air Force Base, and during his 39 years of service, he received many awards.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He loved spending time at the cabin that he, family and friends built. He was an avid Utah Jazz Fan.
Thomas is survived by his wife, Dorothy, two sons; Thomas D. (Raylene) Watt, Jr., Roger L. (Peggy) Watt, 8 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by three sisters; Delila (Larry) Thatcher, Alice (Ralph) Yearsley, Judy (Ken) Gilson, and four in-laws; Clair Andreasen, Leon McDonald, Viola Watt, and Ron Lemon.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and ten siblings; Ruth, Ellen, Golden, Ione, Dorothy, Oleen, Valene, Leah, Jack, and Kay.
The family would like to give a special thanks to all the family and friends who have helped him over the past year, especially his immediate family..
Graveside services will be held on Monday, March 15, 2010, at 11:00 a.m., at the Clearfield City Cemetery, 1050 South State Street, Clearfield, Utah, where military honors will be accorded. Services under the direction of Myers Roy Mortuary.
