Mr. and Mrs. Ernest M. Ball of Metropolitan road, celebrated their golden anniversary with open house Sunday, August 19, from 2 to 5 p.m. Punch with white and gold cake was served to the 52 guests attending. The Soldier Creek Home Demonstration club of which Mrs. Ball is a member was well represented. Out of town guests were a brother and wife Mr. and Mrs. Curtis McClure of Geary; Mr. and Mrs. Carl Peters, nephew and niece from Fay, Okla.; another brother and wife, Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Ball of Norman and a girlhood friend Mrs. Stella Kirk of Perry. Among the numerous gifts was a 400 day clock from their son and daughter-in-law, T Sgt. and Mrs. Lawrence Ball of France.

Ernest M. Ball, 75, of 705 S. St. Paul, died Friday in his home. Services are pending with Paylor's Midwest City Funeral Home.
Ball was born in Missouri and came to Oklahoma as a child. The carpenter had lived in Oklahoma City since 1916.
Survivors include his wife, Geneva; two daughters, Mrs. Gladys Watson of the home, and Mrs. Oriola Clark, Midwest City; Levander, Edmond, and Lawrence Elwood of the home; a sister, Mrs. Mary Jolly, Norman, and a brother, Leonard, Burbank.

Services:. Chapel of the funeral home, 10:00 a.m., Monday, April 20th
