Adam Riser, a lifetime resident of Ruston, died suddenly at his farm home, following a heart attack this past Friday shortly after noon. He was 72 years of age.
Mr. Riser had been a farm owner near here for a long number of years, and had a large number of relatives and friends in the surrounding area.
Funeral rites were held in Ruston this past Saturday by the Rev. A. Hearne of Monroe officiating. Burial, with the Darby funeral home in charge of arrangements, was in the Greenwood cemetery.
Survivors include two sons, Monner Riser of Columbia and Andrew Riser of Ruston. Nephews of the deceased were pallbearers at the funeral. Three grandchildren also survive.
