John Richard Boese, 75, of W. 4th St., died Saturday, Dec. 21, 2002, in St. Luke's Hospital. John was born in Oklahoma City, Okla., on June 6, 1927, to Frank and Elizabeth Brennan Boese. From 1927 until 1955, he resided in St. Cloud, Minn., and has been a Duluth resident since. He was formerly employed as a manager at Al's Variety Store here in Duluth. He was a World War II Veteran having served in the US Navy. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers James, Robert, and Thomas. John is survived by his brothers, sisters. SERVICE:Private funeral services were held in the Dougherty Funeral Home. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery.
