MORGAN PROSSER
Morgan Prosser, one of the county's oldest and best known citizens and resident of Pleasantville for many years, died at his home there Sunday afternoon at 4:20 o'clock, death being attributed to the infirmities of age.
Mr. Prosser was born at St. Clairsville on August 15, 1847. His parents both died when he was a child.
He was united in marriage with Magdalene Aldstadt on October 26, 1877. She preceded him in death in 1926.
Surviving are the following children: Frank Prosser, Scalp Level, Hammond Prosser, of Johnson City, Tennessee, Mrs. Joseph Hammer of Brookvale, Mrs. L.H. Hinkle of Bedford, Miss Harriet Prosser of Juniata, Harry Prosser of Alum Bank, Mrs. Hugh Speedy of Warren, Ohio, Marshall Prosser of Standish, New York, Charles Prosser of St. Michael and Russell Prosser of Long Beach, California.
He was a lifelong member of the Lutheran Church and of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows for more than half a century.
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the Pleasantville Lutheran Church in charge of the pastor and interment was made in the Pleasantville Cemetery.
