Magdalean Aldstadt Prosser

Mrs. Madalean Aldstadt Prosser, well known and lifelong resident of Bedford County, passed away at her home at Pleasantville, PA., on Saturday evening, February 13, at 9 o'clock, death resulting from complications, she having been in ill health for some time, but having been seriously ill for only about ten days.

She was aged 78 years, 1 month and 21 days, having been born in West St. Clair Township December 23, 1847, a daughter of John and Elizabeth Aldstadt.

About fifty-three years ago she was united in marriage with Morgan Prosser, who survives, being a resident of Pleasantville.

Eleven children were born to this union, ten of whom survive, namely: Frank of Scalp Level, Pa., Hammond of Johnson City, Tenn., Harry of Pleasantville, Pa., Charles M. of Hermany, Marshall of Standish, N.J., J.Russell of Braddock, Pa., Mrs. Joseph E. Hammer of Woodvale, Mrs. Hugh Speedy of Hollywood, Fla., Mrs. L.H. Hinkle of Bedford, Pa., and Miss Harriet M. Prosser of Juniata, Pa., One son, Samuel W. Prosser died just six weeks prior to the mother's death.

Besides the husband and ten children, Mrs. Prosser is suvived by one brother William Aldstadt of Altoona, Pa.

Funeral services were conducted at her late home on Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock, Rev. W. H. Bender of Juniata, Pa., a former pastor of the deceased, officiating.

Interment was made in the cemetery at Pleasantville.
