Marshall Prosser, 54, a well known resident of Clinton county for a number of years, did unexpectedly Saturday afternoon shortly after being stricken with a heart attack following his noonday meal. He was rushed to a local hospital but was declared dead upon arrival here.

Mr. Prosser was a native of Alum Bank, Pa. He was born there on Dec. 17, 1889, a son of Morgan and Margaret (Aldstadt) Prosser. He resided at Standish for a number of years, while employed by the Chateaugay Ore and Iron Co. from 1926 until 1938 as a blast furnace superintendent. For the past two years he had been associated in an executive capacity with the Chazy Manble and Lime Co. and resided in that village.

Mr. Prosser was active with the Clinton County Republican Committee through most of the years hat he resided in this area. He was a member of the Masonic Order.

Mr. Prosser is survived by his wife; three brothers, Russell Prosser of Long Beach, Calif., Frank Prosser of Windber, Pa., and Harry Prosser of Pleasantville, Pa.; also four sisters, Mrs. Lillian Hinkle of Bedford, Pa., Mrs. Lonnie Hammer of Swissvale, Pa., Mrs. Alice Speedy of Warren, Ohio and Miss Harriett Prosser of Altoona, Pa.

The body is at the Carroll Funeral Home, Court and Oak Streets. Masonic services will be held there this Monday evening at eight o'clock. Funeral services also at the funeral home on Tuesday afternoon at 2:30.
