Marlin "Lefty" Fox was a graduate of Groveton High School and resided in Palestine for 33 years. . He was a pitcher in a Texas baseball league during the 1940s and had quite a reputation.
He was a member of First Baptist Church and a retired truck driver.
Survivors include his wife Mrs. Virginia Fincher Fox; two sons, Harold Glenn Fox and Dudley Wayne Fox; three daughters, Mrs. John (Linda) Evans, Mrs. Donald (Virginia) McNeill and Mrs. Michael (Sandy) Hart; a brother, Eugene Fox of Corrigan and 16 grandchildren.

He married 1st to Ruby Jeraldine Howard and had two sons:
He married 2nd to Mavis Virginia Fincher. They had 4 children: Linda, Harold,Dudley, Virginia,Cindy (Cindy died at one day old) & Sandra. He was living in Palestine, Texas when he died.
