John M. Stubson, 80, of Casper, Wyo. died Thursday, July 23rd. Born May 13th, 1878 in Climax, reared there and married Thea Bangen, also of the Climax community, Jan. 9th, 1909.
The couple lived in Minnesota until 1917, when they homesteaded at Raub, N.D. They stayed in North Dakota until 1939 when they moved to Seattle, Wash.
They came to Casper in 1957. In June 1959, a golden wedding anniversary celebration was held at a Lutheran church there.
He is survived by his wife, two sons, Hillard E. of Casper, Wyo., and Benneth E. of Ephrata, Wash.; a sister, Mrs. O. L. Berg of Duluth and three grandchildren, several nieces and nephews in this area.
Funeral services were held July 25th in Casper.
Parents: Esten Embretson Stubsjoen and Beret Johnsdatter Lunaas.
