Zethel Oneida McCoy, age 78, of 1355 Honeyville Road in Stanley, Va., died Monday, Jan. 10, 2005, at MontVue Nursing Home.

Ms. McCoy was born June 21, 1926, in Stanley, and was a daughter of the late Thomas Jefferson Nauman and Pearl Susan Jenkins Nauman.

She was a textile worker for 38 years with AVTEX and also worked for ARA Va. Skyline Company in Luray. She was a member of Hilliards Chapel Assembly of God.

Survivors include a son, Robert William McCoy of Shenandoah; four sisters, Martha Adams and Lena Cubbage, both of Stanley, Charlotte Comer of Shenandoah and Pauline Montgomery of Rileyville; two grandchildren, Farrah McCoy of Lewisville, Texas and Robert "Rob" William McCoy II; a great-granddaughter, Caitlyn Boazman of Manassas and two stepgrandsons, Shannon Fix of Elkton and Joshua Fix of Shenandoah.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Daniel Jefferson McCoy, four sisters, Margaret Lansberry, Audrey Helen Burner, Mary Burner and Ethel Cubbage and two brothers, Thomas Nauman and Pete Nauman.

The Revs. James M. Lansberry and Ben Jenkins will conduct the funeral 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2005, at Hilliards Chapel Assembly of God. Burial will be at Hilliards Chapel Cemetery in Stanley.
