Doris Pauline Montgomery, 84, of 142 Landsberry Drive, Rileyville, died Thursday, Feb. 14, 2008, at Page Memorial Hospital in Luray.
Mrs. Montgomery was born June 7, 1923, in Stanley and was a daughter of the late Thomas Jefferson and Pearl Susan Jenkins Nauman.
She worked as a clerk at Tastee Freeze for 16 years. She was a member of Rileyville Assembly of God Church.
On July 17, 1941, she married Ernest Jackson Montgomery; he preceded her in death March 18, 1963.
Surviving are a daughter, Doris M. Young of Rileyville; three sisters, Martha Adams and Lena Cubbage, both of Stanley, and Charlotte Comer of Shenandoah; one grandchild and two great-grandchildren.
The Rev. James M. Lansberry and Evangelist Earl E. Painter conducted the funeral Monday at Rileyville Assembly of God. Burial was in Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Luray.
