Catherine was the daughter of Randolph & Biddy Lane (& the sister of my great grandfather Jacob Lane). She had a twin sister, Tabitha. They were enumberated as 8 years old in the 1850 Madison Co., MO Federal Census but, sadly, her sister was not listed in the home by 1860 Iron Co., MO cnesus. Her father, Randolph, moved the family near the town of Dalton, AR in Randolph County by 1865 (Land Deeds); she remained in this county the rest of her life.
