Lawrence is the son of Albert C. and Sarah Anna Fox Blazer. He married Margaret Yeargin in 1948.

Lawrence W. "Fat" Blazer, 68, of Forsyth died 4:14 a.m. Sunday (Jan. 29, 1989) in Decatur Memorial Hospital. Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in Brintlinger's Funeral Home with visitation 6 to 8 p.m. Monday. Burial will be in Boiling Springs Cemetery. Memorials: American Diabetes Association.
Mr. Blazer was born in Forsyth, son of Albert C. and Anna Blazer. He was a member of Forsyth United Methodist Church and Maroa American Legion. He married Margaret Aliene Yeargin in 1948. She died in 1978. He married Beverly Scribner Eversole in 1980.
Surviving are his wife; daughter, Nancy Berry of Maroa; stepsons, Michael Eversole of Decatur; David Eversole and Rodney Eversole, both of Piano; step-" daughter, Mrs. Michael (Donna Kay) Stephenson of Decatur; brother, Albert of Taylorville; sisters, Grace Woodside of DuQuoin; Mrs.. Leo (Hope) Parlier and Bessie Parlier, both of Decatur; Mrs. Edward (Imogene) Remijan of Lyons; one grandchild; three step-grandchildren.
Four sisters preceded him in death.
