Surviving are his wife, Martha (Midgley) Garey, a daughter and son-in-law, Marjean and Robert Ray with whom he made his home, a grandson, Travis Ray and granddaughter, Sydney Paige Ray, four sisters, Mrs. Mabel Addis, Mrs. Jessie Schalip and Mrs. Nettie Dodge, all of Marysville and Mrs. Lou Newton, California, a brother, Kenneth Garey, Urbana, nieces, nephews and many friends.
He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister and his parents, Pearl and Annis Garey.
Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Moreland Funeral Home, 55 E. Schrock Rd., Westerville where funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Blendon Central Cemetery.
