Robert A. Garey, 64, of Westerville, died Monday, Jan. 16 at home. He was retiring from the Continental Machine, Consultant Basin Enterprise, and was former operator of Garey's IGA in Springfield where he lived earlier. He was a member of the Westerville Community Church.

Surviving are his wife, Martha (Midgley) Garey, a daughter and son-in-law, Marjean and Robert Ray with whom he made his home, a grandson, Travis Ray and granddaughter, Sydney Paige Ray, four sisters, Mrs. Mabel Addis, Mrs. Jessie Schalip and Mrs. Nettie Dodge, all of Marysville and Mrs. Lou Newton, California, a brother, Kenneth Garey, Urbana, nieces, nephews and many friends.

He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister and his parents, Pearl and Annis Garey.

Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Moreland Funeral Home, 55 E. Schrock Rd., Westerville where funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Blendon Central Cemetery.
