A native of Mechanicsburg, he was born Oct. 17, 1911 to Pearl and Annis (Ferryman) Garey and lived all his life in Milford Center. He was married in 1929 to the former Pearl Ervin who survives.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Russell L., Baltimore, Md., and David of Marysville; a daughter, Shirley Stidam, Milford Center; five sisters, Mabel Addis, Viola Packman, Nettie Davis and Lula Newton all of Xenia and Jessie Schalip of Marysville; two brothers, Robert of Springfield and Kenneth of Urbana; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Burial will be in Milford Center Cemetery with the Rev. Robert Ingram officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today.
