Bernard F. Chase, 58, of Round Lake Beach, died in a two car collision Saturday east of Grayslake. Lake County sheriff's officers said Chase's auto ran a stop sign onto Route 45 and was struck broadside by another auto driven by Roger Gieseke, 19, of Bristol, WI. Mr. Chase was a former LaCrosse man. Survivors include his wife; four sons, Charles, William and Richard, all of Round Lake and Gale of LaCrosse; his mother, Mrs. Nellie Chase of LaCrosse; two brothers, Floyd of Gurnee, IL, and Matt of Kendall; two sisters, Mrs. Geneva Mc Henry and Mrs. Warren (Clara) Cronk, both of LaCrosse; and 16 grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Nelson Funeral Home, the Rev. Otto Larson officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday evening.
