LA CROSSE, WI -- Richard D. Chase, 54, of 1726 Onalaska Ave., died Tuesday, Dec. 25, 1984, of heart disease.

He was born March 8, 1930, in La Crosse to Bernard and Winifred (Coon) Chase. he married Jeanette Ziebell on Feb. 24, 1951, in La Crosse.

Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a machinist by the Continental Can Co.

In addition to his wife and his mother, he is survived by a son, James Chase of La Crosse; two daughters, Cynthia Martin and Debra Buswell, both of La Crosse; five grandchildren; and three brothers, Charles of La Crosse, William of Holmen and Gale of Winona, MN.

Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. in the Immanuel Lutheran Church. The Rev. John Parcher will officiate. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Dickinson Funeral Homes Gillette Street Chapel on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and at the church on Friday from 10 a.m. until the services.
