Mrs. Timm was born on December 22, 1863 in Prussia Germany, the daughter of Earnest and Lena (Koch) Michaelis. She came to America, April 5, 1869.
She had lived on the homestead in Sherman township for 24 years. She was the mother of eleven children, four of whom preceded her in death.
On April 16, 1883, she was married to John A. Timm in Sturgis, Mich. She was confirmed in St. John's Lutheran Church in Sturgis on March 25, 1877, and for many years she had been a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Centerville.
She is survived by seven children Ernest of Nottawa township; Mrs. Mary Steffeldt of Saginaw; Mrs. Clara Hackenburg of Three Rivers; Clarence and Marcus of Mottville township; Mrs. Ruth Geark of Three Rivers and Harry Timm whose whereabouts are unknown. Her husband passed away January 10, 1938.
There are twenty-six grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
Prayer services will be conducted at the Ernest Timm home in Nottawa township, Friday at 2:00 p.m. and funeral services will be conducted from St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Centerville at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. C.A. Bormann officiating. Burial will be in Prairie River Cemetery.
