A. Brockelsby Mrs VAIL, Iowa

Mrs. Aaron Brockelsby, 62, of Vail, a teacher in the Ar-We-Va School system, died Jan. 20 in a Carroll hospital as a result of injuries suffered Jan. 19 in an automobile accident. Services will be at 2:30 p m. Jan. 22 in the United Presbyterian Church of Vail. The Rev. Harold McConnell will officiate. Burial will be in the Vail Cemetery with the Huebner Funeral Home of Denison in charge.

Mrs. Brockelsby, the former Delpha Bell, was born Sept. 9, 1914, in Mary County, Mo. She was married Aug. 12,1932, in Sioux Falls, S.D. Mrs. Brockelsby received an elementary teaching degree from Drake University and taught school for 19 years.

Survivors include the widower; a son, Richard of Vail; three daughters, Mrs. Merle (Mary Ann) Thiedeman of Westside, Mrs. Wayne (Delores) Kruger of Vail and Mrs. Sandra Kroeger of Pocahontas; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; her mother, Mrs. Peter (Emma) Bell of Denison; three brothers, William of Vail, Tom of Albuquerque, N.M., and David of Omaha; and two sisters, Mrs. Jessie Aylard of Denison and Mrs. Wilma Jones of Omaha.

Delpha Brockelsby killed in Iowa

Word has been received that Mrs. Delpha Brockelsby of Vail, Iowa was killed in an auto accident on Wednesday, January 19th. She was a school teacher in the Ar-We-Va School District of Arcadia, Iowa. She was the daughter of the late Peter Bell, who was raised in the Hayden Community. She has a number of relatives in the Dixon area. She was the niece of Molly Burton, and a cousin to Eugene Bell, Etta McCoy, Rosetta Elmore and family and Lily Anderson of Dixon. Funeral services were held in Iowa on Saturday, January 22nd.
