Marvin Allen McCleskey married Mary Stegall surprised their friends in 1924 by driving to Loving, Texas and having Rev. O.E. Dickson perform the ceremony which made them man and wife. Miss Stegall was a graduate of Graham High School and attended the State Norman at Denton. She as a successful teacher in both Loving and Eliasville before her marriage.

Mary McCleskey moved to Graham in 1906 from Navarro County with her parents. She moved to Levelland in 1987 from Graham. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Modern Martha Sunday School Class, a charter member of the Graham Woman's Club and past president of Mamie Stewart Garden Club.

Survived by one daughter - Wanda Balch; one son - Allen McCleskey; one sister - Mrs. Troy Ikard; four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
