Glynn Stegall came to Graham in 1906 with his parents. He was a member of the Methodist church.
In 1925, Glynn Stegall was employed by First National Bank in Graham until 1933. In 1933, Glynn Stegall moved to Washington, DC where he became secretary to Senator Morris Sheppard in 1939. In 1942, he became assistant to Lyndon B. Johnson. At the time of his death, he was assistant to the vice-president of the United States, Lyndon B. Johnson just three months before he would become president of the United States. Lyndon B. Johnson came to the funeral.
Survived by hs wife; three sisters - Mrs. Marvin McCleskey, Mrs. R.C. Martin, Mrs. Troy Ikard; one brother - Frank Stegall.
