Joseph J. Feucht Sr., 89, of LeRoy, died on Sunday, Feb. 10, 2002, at Hope Health and Rehab Center, Lomira.
He was born Dec. 29, 1912, in LeRoy to the late Michael and Mary (Schraufnagel) Feucht, and married Gladys Lehman on May 27, 1936, at St. Andrew's Church, Leroy.
Joseph was a lifelong farmer in LeRoy.
Survivors include his wife; five sons, Joseph (Gerri) of Las Vegas, Nev., Alan (Janet) of Waupun, Daniel (Caroline) of Lomira, Gerard (Candace) of LeRoy and Lewis (SHirley) of St. Cloud; six daughters, Carol (Glenn) Haddy of Mayville, Janet (Richard) Weiglein of Brownsville, Claudia Parsons of Clintonville, Marie (Robert) Wondra of Lomira, Terese Ritger and Christine (Kenton) Norskog, both of West Bend; five brothers, Andrew of Crandon, Anton of Mayville, Henry (Lorella) of Milwaukee, Leo (Marie) of Mayville and Albert (Alita) of West Bend; three sisters, Agnes Krapfl of Juneau, Marie Sabel of Fond du Lac and Elisabeth (Norman) Sabel of LeRoy; 39 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.
Preceding him death were two sons, Thomas and Charles; a sister, Sr. Michaelinda; a brother, Michael; a stepbrother, John; a stepsister, Grace; a son-in-law, Roger Parsons; and three grandchildren, Carol Jo., Scott and Jonathan.
He was a member of St. Andrew's Catholic Church in LeRoy where he was the treasurer for many years; was on the building committee for St. Andrew's School; was the treasurer for the former LeRoy School District #4; was a member of St. Andrew's Choir for 75 years; member of St. Andrew's Holy Name Society; member of St. Joseph's Society; member of the Knights of Columbus; served as the town of LeRoy constable; was supervisor for the town of LeRoy for many years; and was manager for many years of the LeRoy Rock River Baseball Team.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, Feb. 14 at 11 a.m. at St. Andrew's Catholic Church, LeRoy.
Rev. Father Charles Wester and Rev. Father Robert Berghammer will officiate, and burial will be in St. Andrew's Cemetery, LeRoy.
Visitation at the Koepsell Funeral Home, Mayville, will be Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m., and also at the church on Thursday from 9:30 to 11 a.m.
