She and a twin sister were born March 30, 1897, in Pella, Iowa. Her family later moved to Armour, S.D., where she met and married Henry Verwolf on December 2, 1915. The couple farmed in South Dakota and Montana for the last 54 years.
They have been in the care of a daughter and son-in-law Carl and Ruby Kolberg of Toston for the past year.
She had 14 brothers and sisters, five of which are still living in South Dakota and Idaho.
Other survivors include a husband of Toston; six daughters, Elizabeth A. DeVolve of Spokane, Wash., Cora M. Hendrickson of Willard, Utah, Ruby Kolberg of Toston, Jean I. Simpson of Tumwater, Wash., Lola M. Page of Pony, and Jennie H. Miles also of Pony; 17 grandchildren; 47 great grandchildren; and 14 great-great grandchildren.
Services are Wednesday, Nov. 30, at 2 p.m. at the Connor's Mortuary in Townsend. Burial will be in the Deep Creek Cemetery with the Rev. Vicki Horn of the Methodist Church of Townsend officiating.
Family prefers memorials to the Alzheimers Association.
