Funeral services for Mrs. Lois Putney, 60, of CMR 126, Norwood, who died at 1:15 p.m. Thursday at St. Joseph's Hospital in Joliet, IL will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Endsley & Son Funeral Home, 1417 S. Stanley Street. The Reverend S. A. Woodruff, Jr. of First Presbyterian Church in Hanna City will officiate and burial will be in Swan Lake Cemetery.
Mrs. Putney was born at Stronghurst, IL on Dec. 10, 1902, a daughter of Thomas John & Ellen Valeria Peck Shaw, she married Ernest Franklin Putney on Jan. 21, 1921 in Galesburg, IL. She was the mother of Ernest, Hubert, Mary Ellen, Frederick Earl, Lois Vernile, Kenneth Lee, Paul Eugene, and Larry Gene Putney.
She was survived by three sisters, Florence Margaret, Sarah Helen, and Alice Hull Shaw Cox, and twenty-eight granchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother, Earle Cranston Shaw. and three grandchildren.
