Mary E. West, 81, of Bartonville passed away Tues, Oct. 5, 2010, at Bel-Wood Nursing Home in Peoria. She was born Dec. 21, 1928, in Stronghurst, IL, to Ernest and Lois (Shaw) Putney. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara (Robert) LeMasters of Bartonville; son, Gary (Mary) West of Indiana; 9 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and three brothers, Fred, Kenneth and Paul Putney. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, three brothers (Ernest, Hubert, and Larry) and her sister, Lois Vernile Merritt Olchawa. Mary worked at Foster & Gallagher and at the Hotel Pere Marquette in Peoria before retiring. She was an avid bowler in the Peoria area, and liked to work crossword puzzles. Cremation has been accorded. Memorial services will be Friday, Oct. 8, 2010, at Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel in Bartonville. Family will receive friends one hour before services at the chapel.
