MRS. LEOTA SMITH
KEYSER, W.Va.- Mrs. Leota Smith, 86, formerly of Luke, Md., died Sunday in Potomac Valley Hospital.
Born in Preston County Aug. 16, 1901, she was the daughter of the late David S. and Ida May(Keller) Downey. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Smith.
Surviving are one brother, Carl Downey, Fern Park, Fla.; one sister, Mrs. Vada Tranum, Piedmont, one stepgrandchild and two stepgreat-grandchildren.
Friends will be received in the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, Md., Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted there Wednesday at 1 p.m. by the Rev. Sumner Sawyers. Interment will be in Philos Cemetery, Westernport.
