CARL D. DOWNEY
Keyser, W.Va.- Carl D. Downey, 79, of 129 W. Lauren Court, Fern Park, Fla., formerly of Keyser, died Thursday, May 23, 1991, at the Florida Hospital, Altamonte.
Born Jan. 20, 1912, in Dill, WV, he was the son of the late David and Ida Mae(Keller) Downey.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Denise M. Powell, on June 17, 1985.
Mr. Downey was a retired machine repairman for the Ford Company in Livonia, Mich. He was of the United Methodist faith and a Navy veteran of World War II. a former member of the Keyser Fire Department, he was a member of Queen's Point Post 6775, Veterans of Foreign Wars, McCoole; BPO Elks 1780, Plymouth, Mich.; and Masonic Lodge 193 AF&AM, Harrison, Ohio.
Services will be conducted there Tuesday at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Potomac Memorial Gardens.
Military honors will be accorded at graveside.
