Lola J. Barrett, 76, of Fremont, Nebraska, died at her home Friday, October 9, 1998.
She was born March 7, 1923, in Imogene, Iowa to Adrian and Nora (Jones) Abbott. She grew up in Iowa and the Nebraska City area.
She married Delbert W. Barrett, September 22, 1940, in Hamburg, Iowa. The lived in Nebraska City, Nebraska until 1967 when they moved to Fremont, Nebraska.
She was a member of the First Christian Church in Fremont, Nebraska, and Christian Women's Fellowship.
She is survived by her husband; daughters Judy and husband Gene Nelson of St. Louis, Missouri, Joyce and husband Jim Petersen of Fremont, Nebraska, son Dean Barrett of Lincoln, Nebraska; 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; sisters Wanda Barrett of Nebraska City, Nebraska, Eleanor Abbott of Excelsior Springs, Missouri; brothers, Larry Abbott of Union, Nebraska, Tom and wife Mary Lou Abbott of Frederick, Maryland, Darrell and wife Janice Abbott of Elmwood, Nebraska, and many other relatives.
She was preceded in death by four brothers.
A funeral was 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, October 13, 1998, at First Christian Church in Fremont, Nebraska, with the Rev. W. Ronald Johnson officiating. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday, with the family receiving freiends from 6-8 p.m., at Ludvigsen Mortuary in Fremont, Nebraska. Burial will be in Nebraska City in the Wyuka Cemetery, 2 P.M., Tuesday.
Memorial were suggested to the First Christian Church in Fremont, Nebraska.
