Services for Everett E. (Gene) Abbott, 67, of Nebraska City, Nebraska, will be held at 2 p.m., on Wednesday, November 17, 1993, at Gude Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. Norman Morriss officiating.
Mr. Abbott, who was born on January 4, 1926, in Nebraska City, Otoe County, Nebraska, the son of Adrian and Nora (Jones) Abbott, died at his residence on November 13, 1993.
He was married in Falls City, Nebraska on August 15, 1950, to Margaret Bolton and precedes her in death.
He is also survived by two daughter, Mrs. Bob (Kathi) Curtis of Vancouver, Washington, and Sherry Abbott of Sacramento, California; three grandchildren, a great-grandchild, and her brothers and sisters, Mrs. Delbert (Lola) Barrett of Fremont, Nebraska, Martin and his wife Lorraine Abbott of Nebraska City, Nebraska, Darold and his wife Janice of Elmwood, Wanda Barrett of Nebraska City, Nebraska, Tom and his wife Mary Lou Abbott of Las Vegas, Nevada, Vernus Abbott of Excelsior Springs, Missouri, and Larry Abbott of Union.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Guy and Carol Abbott.
He lived in the Nebraska City community all his life, where he worked for the Nebraska City Utilities.
He was a member of the First Christian Church, Eagles Lodge, and American Legion Post No. 8He served with the United States Air Force and the U. S. Navy.
Memorial are to the First Christian Church or St. Mary's Hospital Cardiac Unit. Gude Mortuary is in charge of cremation arrangements.
