JOHN KNOX

A memorial service will be today for John Thomas Knox of Eugene who died of pneumonia Sunday. He was 87.
Knox was born Aug. 19, 1905, in Mammouth (sic) Springs, Ark.
He worked as a stucco plasterer and enjoyed fishing in the Leaburg area.
Survivors include a daughter, Edith Slinger of Eugene, a son Lloyd of Leaburg, a brother, Everett of Colorado, and a sister, Juanita Hershberger of California.
Also surviving are nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
The memorial services is at 1 p.m. today at the McKenzie River Lodge in Vida.
England's Eugene Memorial chapel is in charge of arrangements.
