He was a farmer, carpenter, stock raiser, and fiddle player. They had 6 children; Georgie Faye, Herman, Dee, Mildred, Ernest, and Dorothy. He and Lucy lived in Travick, Texas, and Poolville, Texas. He was a Methodist and died 1-21-1955 at Springtown, Texas, and was buried in the Poolville Cemetery at Poolville, Texas.
