Dorothy Tipton Bramblett, 88, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Aug. 25, 2016, after a battle with cancer. Funeral: 11:30 a.m. Monday in Mount Olivet Chapel. Interment: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation: 2 p.m. Sunday at Mount Olivet. Dorothy was born to Irvin and Lucy Tipton in Clarendon on Oct. 14, 1927. She was a consummate mom, "Mimi," "Grandma" and homemaker. Dorothy was an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends and gardening in her yard. She was also a Rangers and Cowboys fan and enjoyed their games on TV. Her smile was contagious and everyone she met loved her. Dorothy had an unwavering faith in God. She was a member of St. Luke's United Methodist Church. The family gives Brookdale Senior Living of Richland Hills and Envoy Hospice their greatest gratitude. Dorothy was preceded in death by her loving husband, Elvis O. Bramblett. Survivors: Her daughters, Sandy Thompson (Ray) and Linda Penn (Rick); grandchildren, Chris Teafatiller (Jo), Alison Kothmann, Lindsay Teafatiller and Marisa Coyle (Kenneth); and numerous great-grandchildren.
