Mrs. Laura Mae Correa, 57, Jackson Heights Queens, a native of Boonville and a former resident of Rome, died on Monday, October 27, 1980 in Roosevelt-St. Luke's Hospital, Manhattan, after a long illness.
Mrs. Correa was born Sept. 13, 1923, a daughter Joseph and Caroline Croneiser Beecher. Her younger life was spent in Churchville and Rome, where she graduated from St. Aloysius Academy. After moving to New York City many years ago, she attended college there. Mrs. Correa had been employed as fingerprint technician for the New York City Police Department. She was previously married to Alfred T. Correa. She was a member of St. Joan of Arc Church, Queens.
Among the survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Kevin (Carolyne) J. McEnery of Norwalk, Conn. and Miss Frances J. Correa of Queens; three sons, Daniels A. Correa and Albert Correa both of Queens and Edward L. Correa of Ventura, California; two granddaughters, Tonya and Danielle Correa of Queens; four sisters, Mrs. Helen Anderson of Syracuse, Mrs. Joseph (Irene) Rueger of Rome, Mrs. Edward (Rosemary) Jasiewicz of Verona and Mrs. John (Norlene) Peppe of Berkeley Heights, New Jersey; and five brothers, Aloysius Beecher of Oneida, Raymond Beecher of Rome, Norman and Clarence Beecher, both of Verona, and Jordan Beecher of Redford.
Services were Friday, October 31, at the Trainor Funeral Home, and St. Joseph's Church, Boonville, where the Rev. Richard B. Thompson, pastor, officiated. Internment was in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Pallbearers were Edward Correa, Clarence Beecher, Daniel Correa, Aloysius Beecher, Norman Beecher, Raymond Beecher and Albert Correa.
