Mrs. Mary E. Shorey, 49, widow of Warren Shorey, of 704 Court St., died Saturday in Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston.

Born in Verona, daughter of Joseph and Caroline Cronizer Beecher, she graduated from Verona High School. She was married to Warren Shorey in 1941. Mr. Shorey was killed in action during World War II in 1945. Mrs. Shorey had been a resident of Utica since 1938. Her last employment was in the State Street Mill, Utica.

She leaves her father, in Rome; two daughters, Mrs. Howard (Barbara) Landes, Summerville, Mass., and Mrs. Frank (Judy) Zollo, Lincoln Park, N.J., six sisters, Mrs.
Gustave (Helen) Anderson, El Paso, Tex.; Mrs. Alfred (Laura) Correa, New York City; Mrs. Joseph (Irene) Ruger, Rome; Mrs. John (Norene) Pette, Jersey City, N.J.; Mrs. Cora Lince and Mrs. Edward (Rosemary) Janiewicz, both of Verona, and five brothers, Aloysius, Oneida, Raymond, Rome; Norman, Verona; Clarence, Clark Mills; and Jordan F. Beecher, Redford, N.Y.

The funeral will be at 8:15 Thursday from the Quinn, Ryan and Nunn Funeral Home with burial in New Forest Cemetery, Utica. Utica Daily Press, Tuesday, October 15, 1963
