Leila Allen, of Casa Grande, widow of Leslie C. Gillette, formerly of Sells, passed away at Hoemako Hospital, March 30, 1978.

Mrs Gillette was born in Burkesville, Ky. August 15, 1894. She came West as a bride in 1913 and lived in several states before coming to Arizona in 1929. She lived in Christmas, Globe, Tucson, Sells and Casa Grande. For many years Mrs Gillette had a day nursery and hundreds of children remember "Neenie" with great affection.

She is survived by two sons, Leslie A. Gillette of Wayne, Pa., Jack C. Gillette of Queen Valley, Az.; and a daughter Laura G. High of Twin Falls, Id.; ten grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at the Casa Grande Christian Church Sunday, April 2nd at 3 pm. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery Tucson. The family suggests memorials to Arizona Children's Home Association, P. O. Box 7277, Tucson, Az., 85725 or the Organ Fund, Christian Church, Casa Grande. Arrangements by Evergreen Mortuary Cemetery & Memorial Park.
