Leslie A. Gillette, 86, died January 15, 2001.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Rebecca Cecil Gillette; sister, Laura High; daughters Julia A. Martenson and Margaret G. Ogden; sons, Leslie C. Gillette, Jack H. Gillette, and Allen C. Gillette; ten grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

He graduated from Globe High School, received his undergraduate degree from the University of Arizona, and his PhD from Purdue University. He spent his entire career at Pennwalt Chemicals retiring as its president of Organic Chemical Division in 1979.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 am on Wednesday, January 17, 2001 at St. Phillips In the Hills Episcopal Church in Tucson.
