Frank Henderson

Frank Henderson of Glasgow, aged 48 years, died on
Monday at the home of his sister, Mrs. Dr. Liggett at
Oswego, Kansas, where he went some three weeks ago,
hoping the change might benefit him. Soon after his
arrival in Oswego, he began to grow weaker and his
devoted wife was sent for, and was constantly at his
bedside until the end. Mr. Henderson has been an Invalid
for some two years, having received a stroke of paralysis
from which he never recovered and for some two months or more
he has been confined to his bed much of the time, and was almost helpless, having to be assisted wherever he went. He bore his affliction with great patience and his was one of the most
beautiful Christian characters we have ever seen. He was truly a Christian man, a refined and elegant gentleman, a devoted husband
and father.

The remains passed through Marshall on the C. & A. Thursday morning.
Funeral in Glasgow at the residence on Thursday after noon at 4 o'clock,
conducted by Rev. Roper of the M. E. church of which deceased was a
consistent member, burial at the Glasgow cemetery. A wife and four
children survive him. Miss Susie of Cincinnati and William, Lewis and
Leonard, all of Glasgow. The sympathy of the community is extended to
the bereaved family. Mr. Henderson was a brother of Mrs. Leslie Orear of this city, and Mrs.Orear left on the 10:4 0 C. & A. train Thursday morning for Glasgow, where she attended the funeral.
