Funeral services for R. G. Curtis of Counce, Tenn., were held Monday, Jan. 27 [1964], at Center Hill near Pickwick, Tenn. Mr. Curtis died Sunday, Jan 26 [1964], at the home of his sister, Mrs. Reba Wood, following an illness of six months.
Survivors include his widow, Maudie Hindman Curtis; four daughters, Mrs. Barbara Eddings, Chicago, Ill., Brenda, Dorothy and Donna of Chicago, Illinois; his mother Mrs. Josie Curtis of Counce, Tenn.; 9 sisters, Mrs. Ruth South of Iuka, Mrs. Ruby South of Tuscumbia, Mrs. Raney McAnally, Mrs. Racine Parrish, Mrs. Rudean Seaton, and Mrs. Ressie Black, all of Chicago, Mrs. Rilla Riddle of Warren, Ohio, Mrs. Reba Wood of Michie, Tenn., and Mrs. Rena Freeman of Michie, Tenn.; 3 uncles, John Curtis of Michie, Tenn., Will Curtis of Savannah, Tenn., and Dossie Smith of Counce; two aunts, Mrs. Nora Higginbottom of Counce, Tenn., and Mrs. Belle Tucker of Corinth; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Estle South, Elvin South, Avon South, Abra South, Talmadge South, and Jerry Allred.
