MOUNT CARMEL — Floyd H. Lawson, of the Westridge Addition, who was born on Nov. 18, 1920 in Lee Valley (Eidson, Tenn.), went to be with the Lord early Monday morning (Oct. 25, 1999) at Holston Valley Medical Center.

A lifelong resident of Hawkins County, he served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Kingsport VFW Post No. 3382.

He owned and operated Lawson Appliance Repair for 20 years and also retired from the Mason-Dixon Distributors with 15 years of service.

Mr. Lawson was a member of Cobbs Chapel Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Nathaniel Lawson and Victoria Lawson Price; two grandsons, Joel Slemp and Shone S. Lawson; one brother, Bascom Price.

Surviving are his loving wife of 60 years, Anna Mae Russell Lawson, of the home; two daughters, Janyce Cusack, Mount Carmel and Joyce Flannary, Kingsport; one son, Dude Gary Lawson, Mount Carmel; nine grandchildren, Joel Slemp, Michael Cusack, Robyn Cusack, Gena Steele, Ritchie Harris,
Chris Flannary, Gary Lawson II, Shone Lawson and Heather Lawson Berg; seven great-grandchildren; three sisters, Pauline Hurd, Ohio, Imogene Burton, Nashville and Ruby Rogers, Morristown; two brothers, Claude Price, Rogersville and Joe Price, Morristown; and several nieces and
nephews.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Price Family Cemetery (Eidson) with military graveside rites conducted by the Kingsport VFW Post No. 3382 Color Guard.
