Obituary:

Mr. Allen Rogers, of Northville Township, near Somonauk, died of pneumonia April 5, 1894. Mr. Rogers was born December 25, 1822 in VersaIla, NY. He was married to Miss Honor Holmes at Hamilton, NY March 8, 1848, and moved to a farm in Northville in 1854. Later he purchased the farm where he died and has occupied for 28 years. Mrs. Rogers survives and one child, Mr. Jay Rogers, remains to mourn the loss of his father. His funeral was attended by a large concourse at his late home on Sunday, April 8, Rev. W. E. DeRiemer preaching the sermon.
