Obituary:

The remains of Mrs. Mary Partridge were brought here Sunday night from Benton Harbor, MI, where she died Friday, July 10, 1914 at the home of her daughter, where she had made her home for some time past. Mrs. Partridge was one ofthe early settlers of this vicinity Mary V. Rogers was born January 20, 1827. and died July 10, 1914, aged 87 years, six months, 13 days. She was the oldest daughter of a family of fourteen children, seven boys and seven girls. In 1845 she was married to Ransom Partridge, who died in 1896. To this union were born six children; Israel, who died in infancy, and Mrs. M. S. Seaton, Mrs, Susan Snooks. and Mrs. Annie B. Frost, preceded her to the unknown shore. There are left Mrs. Lucretia Barnes of Benton Harbor, Ml, and William Partridge of Cleveland, OK. She leaves one brother, Stephen Rogers of Sandwich, and two sisters, Mrs. Melvina Heavener of Piper City, and Mrs. Rathbum of Plano. The funeral was held Sunday morning at the LDS Church, conducted by Rev. Burr of Plano. Those from out of town at the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Barnes and Mrs. D. Miller of Benton Harbor, Mrs. Heavener and grandson of Piper City and Mrs. Rathburn of Plano.
