1 Jan 1963: Mrs. Carrie Donten, nee Hoffman, 81, of 2110 New St., (Ebenezer), Lebanon, died at 1:30 a.m. today at her home. She was a member of Hebron Evangelical United Brethren Church. The widow of Walter G. Donten, she is survived by the following children: Dorothy M., wife of John F. Haggerty, with whom she resided; Sylvester and Walter Donten; Caroline, wife of Joseph Marko, and Hannah, wife of Waller Simpson, all of Lebanon; Pauline, wife of Piedmont Croce, Progress, Pa.; 21 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews. A sister, Mrs. Hannah Martin, Lebanon RD, and a brother, Daniel Hoffman, Pine Grove, also survive. [Lebanon Daily News]
