Hoffman - In Wernersville, on the 26 inst., Alvanus Hoffman, aged 62 years, 7 months and 3 days. Funeral on Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, from Kraemer Funeral Parlors. Services at funeral parlors. Interment at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to attend without further notice. Friends may call this evening 7 to 9 at the funeral parlors. Alvanus Hoffman of 414 East Main Street, Annville, died this morning at the State Hospital Wernersville, after an illness of four years. Mr Hoffman, who was sixty-four years of age, was a former resident of this city and was well known here as a storekeeper at the Lebanon Street and Iron Company. He was born in Schuylkill County, and later came to this city. Seven years ago he removed his home to Annville, where he resided with his son and daughter-in-law, Mr & Mrs Sterling Hoffman of 414 East Main Street, Annville. He was a member of Hebron United Brethren Church. His wife preceded him in death 14 years ago. Surviving, besides the son with whom he resided, are another son, John of Sunbury; two daughters, Miss Emma Hoffman, and Mrs. Grace Trestle, both of Lomita, California; four grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs Carrie Donten, Mrs Hannah Martin, Mrs Emma Martin, and Mrs Mary Kreichbaum, all of Lebanon; two brothers, John Hoffman of this city and Daniel Hoffman of Pine Grove.
