Cecil Reed, 73, Ashgrove Rd., Nicholasville, formerly of Lexington and former owner and service station operator, died Thurs., April 9,1992 at Humana Hospital. A native of Breathitt Co., he was the son of the late John E. and Barbara Watkins Reed, a WW II army veteran, and a member of the Sand Springs Baptist Church, Lawrenceburg. Survivors include his wife Juanita Graves Reed; a daughter, Sue Carol McLean, Lexington; a son, Wayne Reed, Winchester; two sisters, Medie Lou Abney and Claudia Helton, both of Winchester; three brothers, J.B. and Lewis Reed, both of Verailles, and Alfred Caudill Jr., Stanton; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. A daughter, Linda Gail Lawson, preceded her father in death. Funeral services 1:30 p.m. Sat. at Johnson's Funeral Home, Georgetown, by Rev. Terry Wilder. Burial in the Masonic Cemetery, Stamping Ground. Casketbearers will be Larry W. and J. Scott Reed, Robert K. Wright, Timothy Fugette, Philip Johnson, and Larry Tackett. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. today.
